Detail
Why it is built this way
A line you can actually see
At 515 nm the beam sits where the eye is most sensitive, so it reads 4× brighter than the red diodes on most homeowner lasers. Indoors it holds a crisp line to 100 ft; with a detector outdoors it still works at 65 ft in direct sun.
That difference matters at the far end of a 20 ft ceiling run, where a red line fades into drywall texture and you start guessing.

When it cannot be level, it says so
Beyond ±4° the beam blinks instead of pretending. A locked pendulum protects the mechanism in transit, and the same lock is what survives the 1.5 m drop test every batch goes through before it ships.
Manual slope mode takes over when the job needs an angle — stairs, drainage, handrails.
The full story
Green beam diodes are simply easier on the eyes — this unit stays visible to 100 ft indoors and remains usable in daylight that washes out red lines. Drop it on the magnetic bracket, unlock the pendulum and it finds level in about three seconds.
The pendulum locks for transport, so the 1.5 m drop onto concrete that would kill most lasers is a shrug for this one. If it is ever knocked beyond its ±4° window, it blinks at you instead of lying to you.
Out of level alarm, manual slope mode for angled lines, and a 1/4" tripod thread underneath. Runs about 6 hours on two AA batteries.
