Detail

Why it is built this way

01

Ten seconds, not ten minutes

Cheap hygrometers refresh once a minute and drift within months. The sensor here updates every 10 s and holds ±2% RH, which is fast enough to watch a humidifier actually change the room.

You can see whether the $200 dehumidifier is doing anything before the mould does.

Ten seconds, not ten minutes
02

Comfort judged by a real standard

The dry / comfortable / humid indicator follows ASHRAE 55, the comfort standard building engineers use, instead of an arbitrary scale invented for packaging.

Magnetic back, kickstand and wall slot in the box; a AAA lasts about a year.

The full story

Most cheap hygrometers refresh every minute and drift within months. Ours uses a Swiss-made sensor, refreshes every 10 seconds, and holds ±2% RH calibration across its rated range.

The comfort indicator (dry / comfortable / humid) is tuned to ASHRAE 55, the standard building engineers use — not an arbitrary scale.

Three mounting options in the box: magnetic back, retractable kickstand, wall-mount slot. Runs a year on a AAA.
